Group 8760, developer of the GISBAgent® electronic delivery mechanism, has been nominated for the Data Interchange Standards Association's (DISA) first-ever E-Business Enterprise (EBE) award.

The award, which will recognize the company with the best-implemented B2B solution, will be presented during DISA's E-Business and Internet Conference and Exhibition, to be held March 7-9 at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center.

"It is an honor to be recognized by DISA for the hard work and creative efforts of our employees," said Jim Mark, chief operating officer of Group 8760. "The fact that we've been nominated is also important to our clients, since it confirms that their decision to select GISBAgent® for their e-commerce requirements was the right one."

This is the second time in less than six months that Group 8760 has been nominated for a prestigious industry award. In October 2000, GISBAgent® was named a finalist for an Electronic Commerce Community Ovation (EC*CO) award at the Electronic Commerce World 2000 Conference in Orlando.

Group 8760's GISBAgent® product is the most widely used method for exchanging mission-critical data between deregulated electric and gas utilities and their trading partners over the Internet. In combination with their business partners, 26 utilities and other energy companies use GISBAgent®.

DISA, the foremost association for electronic commerce, is a not-for-profit organization that offers a variety of outreach initiatives and extensive educational programs for every e-commerce endeavor. Additional information on DISA is available on the Internet at http://www.disa.org.
